BOY, how I have missed the busy Wedding Season! I can't wait to get started on new orders for 2012. After getting through a crazy-short winded HOLIDAY season, I am just itching to get connected with new BRIDES and GROOMS who are looking for their super fun, unique, custom glassware to give to all of their loved ones. Just 2 weeks ago, one of my recent FIZZY BRIDES - Kristin, was lovely enough to send me a sweet email with feedback and wonderful snapshots of her wedding and my glassware.

Her photographer, Sara Jayne captured beautiful moments and had fun highlighting the custom champagne glasses. The angle here in this photo on the right from the bride's perspective is so sweet and artistic. You can feel all of the love, support and excitement that Kristin was able to receive on her special day with the women she choose to have around her.

Who doesn't love a CLASSIC "Black and White" themed wedding? Anything with color surrounding the nuetrals just POP and look stunning. You can see in the photo above that the bridesmaids had gorgeous matching black bracelets to accessorize their chic and simple look. The photos below show off the handsome groom and breathtaking bride as they smile with happiness! What a cute newlywed couple.

Babes and Bouquets - How I Paint A {BRIDESMAIDS} Custom Order // In The Studio (Vol. 1)

Working for a bride is very rewarding because all they care about is making everyone feel special. I've found that one of their favorite things to do is to research and find the best thank you gifts to give to their bridesmaids. I know, because I have the brides sending me e-mails saying how excited they have found my fizzy glassware to be and can't wait to give their custom, one-of-a-kind gifts to their maids!

As the bride, you select your bridesmaids for sentimental and other specific reasons. Usually these women have been your closest confidants throughout your entire life. They might be sisters, best friends, college roommates or childhood friends. Having your bridesmaids stand up with you at your wedding is like having a special support team for one of the best days of your life.

With that said, your bridesmaids are a special part of the wedding experience. They're the ones that freaked out the most (in a good way) when you announced your engagement and made sure that you had the appropriate celebration. They're the ones that with when you tried on wedding gowns and helped you decide which one was THE ONE. The bridesmaids set up and attend several bridal showers, group gifts, and most of all, the bachelorette party. What would you do without these fabulous women?

One of my buyers, Nicole, had a wedding last fall. She purchased FizzyArtist wine glasses and water goblets for all of her bridesmaids. They were able to use their custom glasses for the bridal shower and again for the wedding day. The color wine was one of the most popular colors for weddings in October and November this year. I painted the bases of each glass using this color to coordinate with the wedding colors and bridesmaid's dresses.

Nicole came back to my Etsy Shop during the holiday season to buy a christmas gift for a friend. In her e-mail with custom details she included these fun photos of her and the "girls" at the shower and wedding. She also wrote...

STEP-BY-STEP VIEW ON HOW I CREATE

MY CUSTOM, ONE-OF-A-KIND GLASSES!

STEP 1: Gather glasses and order form.

STEP 2: Sketch faces and details on order form.

STEP 3: Paint black outline and "refill A.S.A.P".

STEP 4: Paint base colors from wedding color scheme.

STEP 5: Add wedding date in the "Fizzy Label Tag".

STEP 6: Add "Bridal Titles" and names on the base.

STEP 7: Paint skin color, then dresses and bouquets.

STEP 8: Add lips and then the hair styles.

STEP 9: Repaint black outlines to frame everything in.

STEP 10: Add dots and swirls for an accented detail.

STEP 11: Paint each girl's detail in black with super fine brush.

STEP 12: Finish with white detailing and signature on the bottom of glass.

STEP 13: Bake glasses in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degress.

I'll admit, it's been a while since my last blog-post entry! In May, I had my very first Fitness Competition, I moved on June 1st and then once summer began I have been crazy busy with wedding orders and have not been able to catch up. Now summer is coming to an end and I am already "body-deep" in Fall Wedding orders. September is here and I thought I was prepared for the fall season, but now I've realized there is simply no clear way to truly "prepare" for the work that needs to be done.

I am painting about 100 glasses a week which pans out to be at least 20 glasses a day. Lately, the 20 glasses I paint each day turns out to be just ONE order for a Bride and Groom and their entire Bridal Party!

Most people have something that they like to do for fun that doesn't have anything to do with their regular "life routine." Maybe you have a passion for MUSIC, DANCE, HUNTING, ART, SHOPPING, BLOGGING, FASHION, SPORTS, COOKING, READING, KNITTING... the list could go on and on!

Some of you might have read a recent Fizzy Blog post called "My {TRANSFORMATION}Story." I wrote about my life challenges with chronic pain, weight loss and gluten intolerance. Earlier this year I decided to enter my very first Figure and Fitness Competition as something fun to do while I also worked hard on my Fizzy Glassware orders. Art and painting have always been my number one passion, but choreography and dance have been another huge love of mine. Now that I paint full-time for my career it has been so much fun to channel my creativity somewhere else to keep life vibrant and energizing.

I entered the Mr. and Ms. Natural Minnesota Competition on May 20. I competed in Figure Beginner Short and also Xtreme Fit. This was my very first competition and I truly had no idea what to expect! I went into the training, dieting and competition day with an optimistic attitude and I know that is why it turned out to be the best thing I've ever done.

My Xtreme Fit Routine was to Britney Spears' song, "Toy Soldier." So I went for an army-themed look and gave my choreography a military twist. I decided to order a custom dog tag necklace from an Etsy Seller to add to my costume. I wanted the necklace to also be a keepsake to remember my first show, so I researched some fitness quotes and found "ANYONE CAN GIVE UP!" I felt like this was a perfect mantra to live by since this had been one of the hardest things I had ever attempted to do. I love wearing the necklace post-competition and thought it would be the best theme for my Fitness Blog.

The night was full of anticipation, nerves, sticky-tanned skin, costume changes, pumping up my muscles and not forgetting to smile. I couldn't be happier having found my new fun HOT HOBBY! Read more about my experience and what I call the "Best Night of my Life!" (blog post from Fitness Blog).

A Poolside Wedding and Ready to {PARTY}!! // Wedding Day Prep (Vol.7)

Getting married in the SUMMER provides

plenty of warm-weather scenery!

There can be OUTDOOR WEDDINGS at

the beach, the pier,

the rose garden,

the top of a building,

the backyard patio,

or the POOL!

Who wouldn't love a beautiful outdoor, poolside wedding in the middle of June? The sun is out, the weather is warm and the reflection off the water is glistening. A poolside wedding creates an amazing backdrop for floral arrangements and fabulous decor.

This week I received a THANK YOU e-mail from Angele, a very sweet "Fizzy Bride," who purchased some FizzyArtist Glassware for her June, poolside wedding. She and her fiance ordered a Bridal Party Set of custom champagne glasses with a fun violet and lime green color scheme.

When I meet someone for the first time they will usually always end up asking the question,
"So, what do you do?" (meaning: where do you work or who do you work for?).

With a smile and a quick deep breath I answer, "Well, I own a small business and paint custom glassware for people all over the world." The smile is because I absolutely LOVE what I do and the quick deep breath is because my answer seems to shock and puzzle people every time! It's pretty funny to see people's face contort a bit, their head will cock to the side and they'll say "Really?!" The conversation will then lead directly into at least 10 questions regarding what I do and how I've been able to support myself. Sometimes I'll feel like I'm being interviewed, which is fun, and other times I feel like I'm having to convince someone that I'm not making it up. Being an entrepenuer and business owner is Living The Dream and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Each day I feel blessed and also so overwhelmed by it all. The work load never seems to get any easier, but I know it will all be worth it in the end someday!

I have been a Katy Perry fan since she hit the scene with the sassy single, "I Kissed A Girl." There is something so fresh and surprising about her. You can tell that she knows how to have a sense of humor and make fun of herself to keeps things light. I think that Katy Perry is a one-of-a-kind artist and truly stands out from the rest of the Beyonces, Britneys and Taylor Swifts. She really knows how to work the crowd and looks so magical on stage when she performs. I am so excited to say that I will be able to see her in concert here in the Twin Cities later this month!

Rustic and Romantic - A Minnesota {BARN} Summer Wedding // Wedding Day Prep (Vol. 6)

During the Easter holiday, I was able to spend some quality time with my friend Britt, her fiance Adam and his family. After church and brunch they were nice enough to show me (their very curious artsy friend) some of the plans and inspirations for their August Barn Wedding.

They have already collected shabby chic furniture, antique china and soft fabrics to create the perfect romantic setting for their special day.

Britt and I have known each other since she was a sophomore in high school and I had just moved to Minnesota after college. We became good friends through fun coffee dates, performing on a dance troupe, youth group gatherings and trips to Honduras. One summer we also took a road trip with a group of girlfriends to Colorado. Over the years we have had many girl talks about school, family, friends, and of course ... love.

Speaking of love ... Britt and Adam have been together for just about a decade (they started dating in high school). So this wedding will be greatly anticipated by all of their friends and family. If I had to describe this cute, young couple I would say that they are a combination of

Vintage meets Modern,

Eclectic meets Traditional,

and Whimsical meets Simple.

The groom, Adam, is extremely creative and talented in many types of design. He has taken it upon himself to dream up and construct a beautiful, Degas-inspired wedding gown for his bride. While Adam is busy creating things, I can guarantee that Britt will be coordinating all of the wedding details like it's a breeze. As long as I've known my friend, she has always been gifted in organization and event planning. She was even my very first hire as a shipping assistant. My business was fresh and she was able to help me when things had begun to get a bit overwhelming. It is fun to reflect on our history and friendship when she is about to experience her BIG DAY. As you can see from their engagement day photo, Britt and Adam are very smitten with each other and can't wait to walk down the aisle at their rustic and romantic Minnesota barn wedding. The setting will truly be magical!

It's going be my GOLDEN BIRTHDAY on May 29! It will officially be the last year of my 20s and it's going to be a good one ... I can just feel it! So many people complain about turning another year older, which, to me, just seems like a waste of energy. One of my life promises is to embrace and love my birthday every year. (Yes, the baby photo is me -- summer of 1983).

I know what you're thinking. You're saying to yourself, "Well, of course she says that now, while she's still young!" But, who decides what is YOUNG vs. OLD anymore? Things are so different now compared with 20 years ago. When I was growing up as a young girl (in the early '90s), I would see women who were approaching 30 and saw two different stereotypes. One type of woman would most likely be married, have had popped out a kid or two, maybe have a part-time career and live an amazing full life of soccer games, family vacations and wine nights if they were really feeling crazy (the italics are for my sarcasm).

The other type of the woman was, dare I say it,
STILL SINGLE and approaching 30. She most likely lived by herself, had a standard or very successful job and came home to her cats, Schmookie and Eliza to watch an episode of ER to swoon over George Clooney.

As a young girl I was conditioned to think these were my only two options of what could happen to me by the time I hit 30. THANKFULLY, neither really came true. In my early twenties, I was dead set on finding the man of my dreams so I could settle down right away and have that picture-perfect family most women dream about. Each year has passed and that "dream man" (JT and I will hopefully meet some day) hasn't shown up quite yet and I have grown to be very content with that. My maternal clock that was ticking so loudly eight or nine years ago, has also died down to a faint murmur for now. I couldn't be happier that the path that I was given has allowed me to enjoy these years while I have them.

On my 29th Birthday I will be able to say:

"I quit my day job and have supported myself with my

own Etsy Art business (Fizzy Glassware) two years ago."

"I have been interviewed on FOX News."

"I have lived by myself for the last four years in
a tiny studio apartment and now I am
upgrading to a townhome."

My {TRANSFORMATION} Story - How To Get LEAN Before Your Big Day // Loving Life (Vol. 1)

Even Marilyn Monroe had the right idea!

It's obvious that exercise and weight

training have been around for awhile.

So why is it such a new

concept for some people?

My Transformation Story:

Age 22 (2004) - 140+ lbs

Growing up I was a fairly active kid, dancing throughout my teenage years and into college. Specifically "working out" was something very foreign to me by the time I hit my early 20s. My body had a different metabolism and the weight started to climb right on. By the age of 23, I weighed in close to 145 lbs at only 5'1".

Age 25 (2007) - 122 lbs

I asked my friend who knew his way around the gym for some help. I started to lift weights regularly with him and found a fun cardio "dance class" to keep my body moving. I also started to eat a better diet with more protein and less junk. Within a year or two, I was able to slowly shed roughly 20 lbs. off of my very short frame. I had never felt better and I started to look much younger as I got older into my twenties. I used the photo on the right as a head shot for an NBA Timberwolves Dance Team Audition and it also marked my newfound healthy body.

Fast forward a couple of years. I was currently working full-time when I had an onset of chronic, widespread pain and fatigue. I was so crippled by this disorder that I had to quit my job and couldn't really move myself at all. Over the next 2 years, I struggled with fibromyalgia and was forced to get my Fizzy Glassware business up and running because I couldn't hold a job.

While I was busy painting away, I wasn't working out because of my constant pain, and the weight quickly returned. By last summer, I was back at 135 pounds and it took a photo of me with my friends at my birthday lunch (below) to realize that my body fat had gotten out of control once again.

I knew I had to change some things quick! I really focused on eating better with more fruits and vegetables. This started to give me more energy and my pain began to let up a little. I was slowly able to be more active as well. By last fall, I had a new major onset of pain and made a discovery. GLUTEN had been attacking my body. I have been gluten-free since Thanksgiving and my pain... ALL of my chronic pain/fatigue has vanished from my body. Yes, the diet can be hard, but I feel like I got my life back! After seeing the changes in my physical health, once I took gluten out of my diet, I decided to take on a new life challenge. Enter my first FIGURE/FITNESS COMPETITION! So about 12 weeks ago I began a specific diet of protein while I rotated my carb intake along with working out five to six days a week.

The biggest support I've had through this journey has been my consistent weight training sessions with my personal trainer. Al Norby has kept me motivated, encouraged and challenged throughout this whole adventure. He also kept things interesting with quick and intense sessions that were only 30 minutes long! If you are looking to achieve some personal goals for yourself, I STRONGLY recommend investing in a personal trainer who will show up when you don't feel like doing the work. Al trains at a Snap Fitness Club in Minnetonka, Minn. It is one of the largest Snap Fitness clubs in the Twin Cities and has access to excellent cardio and free weights, cables and other fitness equipment.

One of the BIGGEST QUESTIONS you will

"What colors do we want
to use for our wedding?"

It's simple. Just choose your favorites!

If I were to have my dream wedding today I would use my favorite color Seaside Blue because my favorite colors as a kid were blue and green. The last few years I have found a new attachment to corals, oranges and even fuchsia. I would want my wedding to be filled with bright, bold and beautiful accents to ensure that my guests would smile the whole day!

These pictures would be the perfect inspiration for the decor because of the pops of color. As an artist, I have always known that blue and orange are complementary colors on the color wheel. You can see why they work so well together. I would want to wear super hot aquamarine heels under a fitted white lace dress with a bouquet full of hot oranges and pinks. The men would wear neutral suits in khaki or grey with hot pink ties and vests. I'm sorry guys, but you look pretty hot in pink!

The flower girl could wear a sweet coral party dress, the cocktail could be vodka-infused strawberry lemonade, and the reception could be poolside or by the lake (I'm dreaming here).

All I know is that if I could get my paint brush out for a "dream wedding" art piece, you would find these colors on my palette. Why not have such a special day reflect your mood and personality with the colors that make you happy?

Do you know someone who

can bake a delicious cake, have a

tidy and well-decorated home,

re-upholster his or her own furniture,

and paint antiques to look

like shabby-chic perfection?

I believe that most of us know a superwoman like this! A woman with the magic for creative thinking and artistic talents puts her in the "Martha Stewart" category, which is something to be proud of. Some women are gifted in decor or cooking or organizing, but a few out there were blessed with a couple of these gifts.

My sister, Heather, and I have been artistic and creative since we were very young. The artistic gene was definitely passed down from generation to generation. In our family history we have artists, seamstresses, furniture makers, carpenters, remodelers, and more. We watched our parents remodel and refurbish all of the time. One of my favorite projects they did was take a vintage dresser and make it into a sink vanity for our guest bathroom. They would envision things and then just go for it! Without a doubt, this gift stuck with Heather and I. I have had my painting career for almost 10 years now and Heather has now taken her love and gift for chic design to another level.

Heather is now the proud mommy of beautiful Olivia Grace and married to her multi-talented husband, David Reed. Heather has lived in New York City for the last 10 years and recently moved with her adorable family to Nashville, Tennessee. While living in New York, my sister learned how to master the art of finding salvaged pieces for next to nothing and revamp them into lovely, shabby-chic, one-of-a-kind treasures. Stepping into the Reed home is like stepping into a Martha Stewart Magazine of a trendy, young, modern home decor article.

I went to visit my sister and her family in Nashville this January for a late Christmas. While Heather showed me around their home I kept saying to her, "You could totally market and sell these pieces on Etsy!" During my visit we made a strategic trip to a thrift store and just had a BALL looking for "chachkies" as she calls them for her to re-paint and sell. I had so much fun with my niece, Olivia, in the stroller that day! Right before I left for my flight back to Minnesota, I helped the Reed's open their Etsy storefront and took pictures for the first listing. I've always been fascinated by vintage pin-ups! Since I was a teenager and a young artist I found myself sketching and painting classic images of women like Marilyn Monroe. My decor and fashion sense have always been inspired by vintage themes. When the skinny jean and legging look hit the runway it was just like having the 50's cigarette pant back on the radar. Since this theme and look are a big part of my personality, I thought it would be ideal to develop my business brand around the same retro, vintage style!

{A Little Business History} My business was formerly known as the "SODAPOPSHOP" because I was a muralist for a couple of years and specialized in themed rooms for nurseries and kid spaces. I wanted a fun theme for my business because I had more fun with branding and marketing that way. That is how the name "The FizzyArtist" was created. Mostly because http://www.fizzyartist.com/ was an available domain for my website. My business tagline was: "I add the FIZZ, you get REFRESHED!"

The last two years, my business has been solely dedicated to my line of custom glassware and I have wanted to create a fun new look for the FizzyArtist brand. I found a local photographer, Traci Palmer through a friend of mine and hired her to do a fun pin-up-inspired photo shoot to use the images for marketing purposes.

To prepare for the photo shoot I put three fun outfits together with my own wardrobe ... shoes and all! Yes, that's how much I love the pin up look. I did, though, go out and purchase a cute coral flower pin for my hair. I decided to get my hair done professionally for an affordable price at my regular salon. This took a load of pressure off of me! I met my stylist, Lindsay Mathison that day and we hit it off! She did an outstanding job and really polished off my entire look.

In the first year of painting my custom glassware there was a BOOM of orders that came in the fall for upcoming weddings. One of my first large Bridal Party orders was a purchase made by Candice, a bride-to-be from Illinois. A couple of months after the purchase this Fizzy Bride realized that we had gone to high school together! Yup, we both graduated in the class of 2000 from a high school in Rockford, IL. What a small world. This made working on her custom glasses even more exciting and enjoyable.

Now, a year later, I asked my old friend Candice to answer a couple of questions about her Fizzy Experience. On top of having some of the most beautiful photos from her wedding on Facebook, I also found that I was one of MANY Etsy shops that she and her groom utilized for their
custom dream wedding!

How did you hear about Etsy.com? I think it was a random search when I was looking for a personalized item a few years ago. I can’t remember the exact way, but once I found it, I was addicted!

How did you find out about my products on ETSY? An Etsy search. I was looking for bridal party gifts and came across your custom glassware.

What is it about my products that made you decide to purchase? They looked SO unique and fun! I loved the idea of having personalized gifts that could be used after the wedding too, and I especially like doing something different. No one had seen anything like this and it was one of the main details people commented on at the rehearsal dinner where we gave the gifts!

How/why did you decide what products to buy? It was hard to decide since I liked all of the options. We decided to go with the Bridal Party design: wine glasses for all the women and beer pint glasses for all the men. We ended up with a huge order, as we had a wedding party of 12 total, including us, plus 2 junior groomsmen, and we bought for our parents as well to add to their gifts. I also got the bride and groom champagne flutes for the wedding toast. I love having those to keep and display in our home after the wedding day. (20 glasses total)

What was it like to receive your Fizzy Glassware? As far as receiving the glassware package in the mail -- can you say 'excited much?' I had to open and unwrap everything immediately! I took pictures on my phone to sent them to my fiancé just because I had to show someone.

What was it like to gift your Fizzy Glassware to your Bridal Party? How did the members in the party react? I am always super impatient with giving gifts, and this was definitely hard to keep a secret! Both my fiancé and I were excited to give the gifts and everyone loved them! As a side note, we gifted the glasses to all ages, from 7 to 55 and they were just as well-received from all ages, so this is really a gift anyone would love.

Would you purchase from my shop again? Yes, in fact I already have. I ordered 2 Christmas gifts -- one lips wine glass and one mustache glass. I almost didn’t want to give them away because I wanted one for myself!

Did you add other Etsy finds into your wedding experience? Oh my, YES! What didn’t I get from Etsy? Lots of inspiration too, but here is a list of some of the Etsy purchases that found their way into my wedding. I really bought as much as I could from Etsy to help support handmade and to help make my traditional wedding a little more “us.”

{PEEK-A-BOO} Ooh to the La..La..LACE! // Fizzy Fashion (Vol. 3)

Lace, Sheer, Cut-Outs, Low-Backs,

Off-the-Shoulder, Strapless, Corsets...

All of these styles and trends have something in common. They all give the illusion or the idea of LINGERIE so of course anyone is going to look incredibly sexy! A turtle neck or a baggy sweatshirt will give the opposite affect so throw those into the Goodwill or sick day pile. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, I thought these styling tips would be very appropriate.
(Your MAN will thank me later!)

When you layer with lace or something sheer you won't feel too covered or bulky even in warmer weather. You can feel comfy and confident with a couple of thin layers rather than putting it all out there with one simple blouse.

Lace is a new thriving trend that can be used to compliment your wardrobe in many ways. A lace top, jacket, skirt, or vest are great options. Partner a lace top with denim or a bold color to off-set the sweet look of the delicate lace. I love to wear this lace cardigan from Charlotte Russe with skinny jeans and a saucy strapless top.

A combination of sweet and spicy
is the best kind of FLAVOR!

An off-the-shoulder top or a boat neck blouse will show off a little shoulder or arm without exposing all of the goods.

New styles in stores are incorporating the cut-out trend or a sheer low-back. I've seen a number of cute cardigans with a crocheted pattern on just the back for added interest. Matching a look like this with a basic tee will instantly pull your look together. The outfit will say that you thought about your style without having to try too hard.

Going strapless or wearing a corset style can be intimidating sometimes. But you can get the same look with a fitted and flowy strapless cotton top like the one I'm wearing.

Check out my grey strapless look: 1). It's fitted on the bust, so it stays up. 2). It has gatherings and pleats for some visual interest. 3). It flows away from the body and hits me right at the hip. 4). It gives a little more viewing of the cleavage, so it's only an evening top!

Men can be hard to shop for, especially on a day that's all about LOVE. I bet if Valentine's Day happened to be themed around sports, video games, gambling or food they would be even more excited for the day!

You may notice that I included these dreamy pictures of the irresistible JT (Justin Timberlake). Because I don't have a man to shop for this Valentine's Day I decided to do a little role playing for you! I wrote this post as if he WAS MY MAN and selected items that I would want to give him. Seduce your man with a sizzlin' new look this year! Or maybe you'd like to snatch the man of your dreams (I know I would)! No matter what shape you're, if you are a woman, you have curves to work with. Some of us have more curves than others, but there are always tricks on how to give the illusion that you do. And by now, most of us know that men enjoy our curves. So why not give them what they want!?

I put together an outfit that has some of the best ingredients for a bombshell brew that will wow any guy!

First things first, ladies...

1. Please wear cute underwear! No need for bells and whistles, but a feminine color with lace or flowers is a must. No granny panties allowed! It's OK to keep the bra simple, but use one that does the job (lift and hold).

2. I like to build an outfit around the shoes that I want to wear. I think hot shoes are one of the most important elements in looking irresistibly sexy. With the right high heels you can wear a comfortable outfit and still look good. This is one of my favorite tricks! To be really on point - have your nails freshly painted.

3. A cigarette pant or skinny jean is the best way to look long and lean. I am only 5'1" so when the skinny jean came on to the fashion scene I was in love. I never knew that showing the curves of just your legs could make you look so much smaller -- I don't know if I will ever go back to a bootcut-style jean. My favorite denim right now is Levi's skinny jean in the curve fit. These have stretch and have an amazing mid-rise!

4. When it comes to what to wear on top, I try to go sexy without being over the top. If you do wear jeans, a low-cut top will work because you aren't showing off any leg. To avoid the obnoxious stares by men of all ages, I try to do only a glimpse of cleavage. That way I don't feel like there's a spotlight on my chest all night. If you have a man that enjoys it when you show them off, just tell him they're all his to look at after dinner. I like to wear a flowy top that hits me right at the hip, but cinches in at the wasit or under the bust. Or a flirty, floral ruffle top like below (from Express) with a belt to accent the waist!

5. Lastly, polish off your look with full and bouncy hair, simple and sexy makeup, and fun accessories. Without these, your outfit will fall flat and your "bombshell look" will be a bust!

Get ready for the showers... and I don't mean April rain! If you're a woman and you have girlfriends, (which most of us do) you will most likely be attending at least one bridal shower this year. What does this mean? Well, you might be a close friend or relative in the wedding and decide to host the shower. Or you are a friend that is invited to attend. You could be the Mother of the Bride who wants to help in any way possible. And lastly, you might be the guest of honor, the lovely bride-to-be!

One of my lovely Fizzy Brides sent an email to me after her bridal shower. She had surprised all of the ladies with my custom glasses with cartoon portraits of each as well as the wedding colors. Blue was the color of the bridesmaid's dresses and I always like to match the bottom of the glasses to the dress color. I always wish I could be a little fly on the wall each time my glasses are opened as gifts. It would be so fun to everyone's faces and hear the squeals of excitement when they see their likeness on a fun and practical gift. Ronessa, the bride, was lovely enough to send these fabulous pictures that truly captured the moment I've always wanted to see!
